Mr. Bagla joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2007. He is responsible for deal sourcing, investing, monitoring and managing exits. He focuses on businesses in the industrials and niche manufacturing sectors, and represents the existing funds on the Board of VVDN Technologies, Happy Forgings, Magicrete and Glass Wall Systems. He led investments in Power Mech Projects, Minda Industries, Electromech Material Handling Systems and subsequently exits from Power Mech Projects (via IPO), Minda Industries (via market sale), ElectroMech (via buyback) and GR Infraprojects (via IPO) in Fund I. In Fund II, Mr. Bagla is responsible for investments in Magicrete Building Solutions and GWS and led exit from IEX (via market sale). He also led investments in VVDN Technologies and Happy Forgings
from Fund III.

Mr. Bagla has 22 years of diverse experience in consumer-facing businesses like Emami, mining and oil businesses like Aditya Birla Group, and private equity. At Aditya Birla Group, he was with Essel Mining and was part of the three-member core team responsible for entry strategy of the group’s mining business both in India and abroad, and the sale of the group’s palm oil business in Malaysia. At Emami, he led the establishment of systems and processes for sourcing strategy, designing cost control framework and its monitoring, as also establish supply chain logistics.

Mr. Bagla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Calcutta University, and is a member of
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. Mantri joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2015. He is responsible for institutional fund raising, deal sourcing, investing, monitoring and managing exits. He focuses on businesses in the life sciences sector, and represents the existing funds on the Board of Arinna Life Sciences, Symbiotec Pharmalab, Molbio Diagnostics and Ganesh Grains. He led investments in Ganesh Grains from Fund II and in Symbiotec Pharmalab and Molbio Diagnostics from Fund III.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, Mr. Mantri garnered 15 years of experience in the life sciences sector in private equity and investment banking (KPMG). At KPMG, he worked as an Associate Director in the investment banking business and was responsible for origination and execution of M&A, private equity, financial restructuring and joint venture transactions. He extensively covered pharmaceutical, chemical and healthcare companies in India and managed relationships at the promoter and senior management levels. Mr. Mantri also advised on M&A transactions involving mid-size Indian pharma companies like Unimark Remedies, Kilitch Drugs, NBZ Pharma, Bafna Pharma as well as large multinationals like J&J, Akorn, Hikma, GSK, among others. He was also involved in Nihon Nohyaku’s (Japan) acquisition of an agro-chemicals business in India, financial restructuring of Marksans Pharma and Voltas’ (a Tata group company) joint venture transaction.

Mr. Mantri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Indore. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a qualified Company Secretary.

Mr. Dhanuka joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2013. He is involved in deal sourcing, investing, monitoring and managing exits. He focuses on businesses in the consumer sector and represents the existing funds on the Board of Dairy Classic, Updater Services and N Ranga Rao & Sons. He is also an observer on the Board of Kurlon and Shubham Housing. He was involved in exits from Parag Milk Foods (via IPO) and Mrs. Bector’s (Cremica) (via secondary sale) for Fund I. In Fund II, Mr. Dhanuka is responsible for investments in Shubham Housing, Kurlon, Dairy Classic and Updater Services and led the investment in N Ranga Rao & Sons and Happilo from Fund III.

Mr. Dhanuka came on board with 18 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance (Asian Paints). At Asian Paints, he was part of the corporate finance team and responsible for key corporate finance functions including M&A, treasury, fund raise, investor relations, banking and strategy.

Mr. Dhanuka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a CFA Charterholder and a qualified Company Secretary.

Mr. Mehta joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2019. He is responsible for deal sourcing, investing, monitoring and managing exits. Mr. Mehta focuses on businesses in the banking and financial services sector and represents the existing funds on the Board of IKF Finance and Finnov Private Limited. He led investments in AU Small Finance Bank, Finnov Private Limited and Fincare Small Finance Bank from Fund III.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, he had 16 years of experience in private equity and investment banking (Kotak and KPMG). At Kotak, he co-led the financial services practice in the investment banking business and was responsible for ideation, coverage, origination and execution. Mr. Mehta successfully led and executed 40+ transactions and helped raise over US$ 25 billion across M&A, Private Equity and Capital Market. Some of the notable transactions include private equity fund raises for SBI General, SBI Life, Varthana, Ujjivan, AU Financiers, Samunnati, PNB Metlife, HDFC AMC, Bandhan Bank, Grameen Koota, Indostar and QIPs of Piramal Enterprises, Bajaj Finance, Kotak Bank, State Bank of India, Federal Bank, among others.

At KPMG, he was an Associate Director in the investment banking business with primary focus on consumer and financial services. He advised on transactions involving large to mid-size Indian companies, such as Tata Capital, Fem Care, Sangli Bank, IDFC, Skenzo, Indage Vintners, among others.

Mr. Mehta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. Wadhwa joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2017. He is responsible for transaction evaluation, financial analysis, deal documentation and portfolio management of primary consumer sector investments. He is involved in managing Fund II investments in Ganesh Grains and Magicrete and was instrumental in executing Fund III’s investment in N Ranga Rao & Sons.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, he worked across private equity (GE Capital Asia), Corporate M&A (Mahindra & Mahindra) and investment banking (Rabo India Finance, KPMG). At M&M, he was a Senior Manager in the M&A team and was responsible for covering the auto, farm and agri sectors. At GE Capital Asia, he was an Associate Vice President and was part of the private equity team responsible for assignments across the private equity lifecycle. At Rabo India Finance (subsidiary of Rabobank), Mr. Wadhwa worked as an Associate in the investment banking team primarily focusing on the food and agri sectors. At KPMG, Mr. Wadhwa was part of the investment banking team and was responsible for providing advisory services to companies on M&As, fund raising through private equity route and providing valuation services to companies across a multitude of sectors.

Mr. Wadhwa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the Jai Hind College, Mumbai. He has an MBA from the University of Hong Kong and has completed all three levels of CFA.

Mr. Srivastava joined MOPE in 2022. At MOPE, he is responsible for transaction evaluation, financial analysis, deal documentation and portfolio management of primarily consumer and consumer-tech investments.

Prior to joining MOPE, Mr. Srivastava has had over 13 years of experience in private equity (Helix Investments), tech start-up (Roposo), investment banking (Citigroup), and business consulting. He was a Vice President at Helix Investments and worked on assignments covering the entire private equity life cycle including deal sourcing and evaluation, deal execution, portfolio management, and exits. During his stint at Helix, Ms. Srivastava worked on opportunities across consumer, technology, and education verticals including investments in a cybersecurity services business and a dental healthcare chain, and successful exits from an ed-tech player and a KPO services firm.

At Roposo, he was part of the core management team and was involved in business development, growth strategy and fund raising as a Growth Architect. At Citi, Mr. Srivastava was part of the market leading investment banking team and worked on several marquee M&A and public market transactions including merger of Pfizer and Wyeth in India, IPO of UFO Moviez, and FPO of Power Grid.

Mr, Srivastava holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and has earned a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad.

Mr. Chaudhuri joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2016, He is responsible for transaction evaluation, financial analysis, deal documentation and portfolio management of primarily financial services investments. He is involved in managing Fund II’s investments in IKF, Kurlon and Shubham. He was instrumental in executing Fund III’s investments in MAS Financial Services, AU Small Finance Bank, Finnov Private Limited and Fincare Small Finance Bank.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, Mr. Chaudhuri worked with ICICI Investment Management (IIMCL) as a member of its investment team. At IIMCL, he worked on assignments across the private equity lifecycle.

Mr. Chaudhuri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the R.A. Podar College, Mumbai. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Mr. Patel joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2017. He is responsible for transaction evaluation, financial analysis, deal documentation and portfolio management of primarily industrials and niche manufacturing investments. He is also involved in managing Fund II’s investments in Updater Services and Glass Wall Systems and exit of Fund II from Indian Energy Exchange. He was instrumental in executing Fund III’s investments in Happy Forgings and VVDN Technologies.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, Mr. Patel worked in the investment banking division of JP Morgan Services. At JP Morgan, he was responsible for end-to-end sell-side pitch books, including identification of targets and divestment opportunities, financial modelling and deal structuring for the healthcare industry.

Mr. Patel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from NIT, Surat and is a Gold medalist in PGDM (Finance) from the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.

Mr. Deb joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2021. He is responsible for transaction evaluation, financial analysis, deal documentation and portfolio management of primarily life sciences sector investments. He was also involved in managing Fund II investments in Arinna Lifesciences and Symbiotec Pharmalab.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, Mr. Deb worked across private equity (Kotak), equity research (Nomura) and corporate investments & strategy (Cipla) for a decade. He was an Associate Vice President in the private equity team at Kotak and was responsible for creating a portfolio of innovative life sciences and healthcare companies, including in sub-sectors such as pharma, biotech, diagnostics, medical devices and nutraceuticals. At Cipla, he worked in the corporate strategy and new ventures division and was responsible for evaluating strategic investment opportunities in the specialty pharma space.

Mr. Deb holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from NIT, Jaipur and has a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Mr. Shah joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2020. He is responsible for transaction evaluation, financial analysis, deal documentation and portfolio management. He is also involved in managing Fund II’s investment in Arinna Lifesciences and Fund III’s investment in Molbio Diagnostics.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, Mr. Shah had over 7 years of experience across Corporate M&A (Sun Pharma), Investment Banking (JP Morgan Services and Jefferies) and financial controllership (Goldman Sachs). At Sun Pharma, he was responsible for evaluation of domestic and cross-border M&A deals in the pharma sector. At JP Morgan and Jefferies, he was involved in marketing and execution of domestic and cross-border M&A/Private Equity deals in the pharma and telecom, media & technology (TMT) sector. At Goldman Sachs, he was responsible for financial controllership of various legal entities covering treasury management, finalising debt equity structures, financial and tax reporting.

Mr. Shah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has an MBA from the Indian School of Business.

Ms. Bhura joined MOPE in 2022. At MOPE, she is responsible for transaction evaluation, financial analysis, deal documentation and portfolio management of investments in financial services, industrials and niche manufacturing

Prior to joining MOPE, Ms. Bhura had over 4 years of experience in private equity with Sabre Partners as a member of its investment team. At Sabre, she worked across fintech, healthcare and healthtech on deal evaluation, deal execution, portfolio management. She was also a part of Sabre’s DFI fundraise.

Ms. Bhura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce Ahmedabad University. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Mr. Mehta joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2019. He is responsible for deal evaluation, financial analysis and portfolio management. He is also involved in managing Fund II’s investments in Ganesh Grains and Dairy Classic, and Fund III’s investment in VVDN Technologies.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, Mr. Mehta worked in investment banking (Edelweiss, JP Morgan). He was an Assistant Manager in the investment banking team at Edelweiss and was responsible for end-to-end private and public market transactions from ideation, origination to deal closure within the consumer and healthcare sectors. At JP Morgan Services, he was an Analyst in the investment banking business and was responsible for end-to-end sell-side pitch books, including identification of targets and divestment opportunities, financial modelling and deal structuring for the industrials sector.

Mr. Mehta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Mumbai University and has an MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Ms. Kedia joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2020. She is involved in deal evaluation, financial analysis and portfolio management. She was instrumental in executing Fund III’s investments in AU Small Finance Bank, Finnov Private Limited and Fincare Small Finance Bank.

Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Equity, Ms. Kedia worked as an Associate in the investment banking team at JM Financial. She was responsible private and public market transactions from origination, execution, structuring to deal closure across various sectors.

Ms. Kedia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from H.R. College, Mumbai and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Mr. Singh joined Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2020. He is responsible for deal evaluation, financial analysis and portfolio management.

Mr. Singh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from McGill University, Canada and has a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
